Search Engine Optimization existed for years before anyone even coined a name for it. With the advent of social media sites like myspace, facebook, and twitter, to name a few, the corporate world has been forced to take notice. Why? Because the popularity of such sites have grown and keep on growing and spawning other sites like it. Now, instead of being penalized for surfing myspace and facebook, companies are hiring teams of people for search engine optimization or making postings on social media sites as part of their employee(s) job description. With the rapid spread of the popularity of social media marketing, one can’t help but wonder where it will take us in the next few years.
